ABOUT

Thanks for visiting Houston Bucketlist! I’m Jo and I started this blog as a Google spreadsheet when I moved here during the summer of 2014. Houston is the fourth largest city in the U.S. and there is so. much. to do and see. Like, so much. And I needed a way to organize my Houston “to do” lists – from coffee shops and brunch spots, to wineries and breweries, to the various races and sporting events throughout the city. I also wanted to be prepared to show my friends and family the GREATEST time when they came to visit me in my new city. So I read blog after blog after blog and poured over tons of Houston magazines and newspapers to try to find the best places to eat, drink, and explore. And over the last three years I’ve put my research to the test by eating, drinking, and discovering my way through endless restaurants, taco joints, breweries, wineries, distilleries, festivals, museums, art galleries, mud runs, 10Ks, and even a beer mile {or two}.

So finally, after sharing my spreadsheet with friends and coworkers I decided to transform my conglomerate of lists into an actual blog, and here it is. Enjoy!

Happy exploring,
-J
